Summary: 

Performs repairs and maintenance in plant and office facilities, or on machines and equipment. Conducts routine, periodic, or special inspections to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment. Tests, inspects, troubleshoots, and repairs machines and equipment. Uses blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications to ensure proper maintenance and repair. Respond to a variety of problems in a timely manner, specifically prioritizing issues that may cause delays in tissue processing.

 

Anticipated Application Deadline:    July 9, 2025 (1:00PM MST)  

Pay:    $22.89 -  $26.62/hr.  based on years of relevant experience  

Shift:     Monday -Friday;  9:00am -6:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Inspect, maintain and repair all building systems in accordance with established operating procedures, safety practices, and company policies.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance schedules & weekly reports and ensure work activities are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
  • Test, calibrate, adjust, and maintain electromechanical, mechanical, optical, pneumatic, and hydro mechanical equipment.
  • Repair and maintain incubators, skin splitters, autoclaves, and steam generators boilers, chillers, pumps, freezers and HVAC equipment.
  • Work with cutting oil, drain chemicals, certain paints, and paint removers.
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and replace defective equipment.
  • Ensure freezers are operational 24/7.
  • Ability to follow blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, operational manuals, and specifications to ensure proper maintenance and repair.
  • Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions of all varieties.
  • Complete associated documentation of all repair and maintenance, activity and ensure information is accurately and concurrently recorded and logged through the ticket system. 
  • May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
  • May be required to work “on call” shifts on a rotating basis.  Will carry “On call Phone” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to emergencies.
  • May work with outside contractors on projects pertaining to facilities maintenance and improvements and building remodels.
  • Work as a team with peers to cross-train.
  • Maintain and stock facilities breakrooms. 
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years' experience in facility-related maintenance and preventative maintenance.
  • Principles and practices of mechanical equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Principles and practices of general construction
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history* to operate Company-owned vehicles. (*Subject to yearly review of MVR acknowledgment of Vehicle Policy)

 

Preferred Experience:   

  • 3+ years’ experience in facility related maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of clean room protocol and/or experience in a regulated healthcare type environment
