Summary: 

The Distribution and Inventory Coordinator is responsible for safely and effectively performing distribution and shipping duties to support Customer Service, Satellite Offices, and internal and external customers. This position provides a positive customer service experience through the fulfillment, packaging, and shipping of order requests. Supports inventory control of finished goods. Maintains established working relationships with AlloSource Business Managers and other department supervisors/managers.

 

Anticipated Application Deadline:    November 26, 2024 (1:00PM MST)  

Pay:   $20.81/hr.   -   $22.90   based upon relevant years of experience

Shift:    Monday-Friday;   9:00am to 5:30pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Inspects newly released inventory, conducts inventory movement and storage based on inventory type, and works with Quality to troubleshoot discrepancies. 
  • Maintain database records of contract customer inventory and shipments, as well as customer files, orders, returns/credits, RA logs, and other applicable documents.  Inspects customer returns, initiates complaints and NCRs when necessary. Archives shipping and customer service files annually and maintains shipping records for billing and POD. 
  • Manages all outgoing shipments through Fed Ex, UPS, USPS and various couriers, to include preparing merchandise for shipping, ensuring appropriate quality/regulated documents included in shipments, coordinating international shipments, constant internal and external communication to ensure shipment delivery accuracy, as well as troubleshoot and file claims for lost/damaged packages. 
  • Operates and maintains shipping computer equipment and database.
  • Orders shipping supplies, quality documents and regulated shipping labels needed for shipments and maintains appropriate par levels of shipping supplies.  Allocates shipping supplies to satellite offices as requested.
  • Quarantines finished goods product and coordinates inventory returns from satellite locations for quarantining when necessary. 
  • Processes sales orders, distributes and re-allocates product to contract customers and satellite offices.
  • Fulfills contract customer orders according to specific customer shelf-life and shipping requirements.
  • Follows expired tissue maintenance and facilitates sampling or discarding of expired product.
  • Manages quarantine tissue by physically and electronically segregating it from distributable inventory.
  • Maintains open order file and contract customer requirements.
  • Verify inventory accuracy by performing cycle counts and assisting with inventory audits.
  • Assists with departmental customer complaint investigation and initiation and completion of departmental NCRs.
  • Works closely with equipment management and facilities department to maintain tissue storage equipment.  Initiates and completes appropriate equipment work orders, new equipment profile forms and equipment repair/movement forms.
  • Prepares and packs customer orders, R&D requests and shipping requests in appropriate coolers/shipping containers and packing configurations and prepares shipments and transportation.
  • Transport AlloSource Finished Goods inventory for x-ray when customer requests are made.
  • Assists Supply Chain Management with department projects and mentoring and training new hires.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned

 

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2-3 years’ inventory, distribution, and/or shipping experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to communicate in English proficiently (speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension)

 

 Preferred Experience:

  • AATB certification
  • Knowledge and use of FedEx Ship Manager Software to process domestic and international shipments.
  • Experience with AATB or FDA regulatory guidelines
