Summary:

With direction and oversight, the Review Specialist performs the initial review of donor records and related documentation to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, quality, and completeness of files in accordance with FDA regulations, AATB Standards, and AlloSource policies.

 

Pay:   $20.81 - $25.07/hr. based on relevant years of experience

Shift:  Wednesday-Saturday; 7:30am – 6:00pm

Location:  Colorado/Remote - 6278 S. Troy Circle, Centennial, CO 80111 (Remote with the ability to travel to the office once a month for department meetings or as needed for training)

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs detailed review and interpretation of donor screening and recovery records.  Identifying any and all donor eligibility issues related to the documents. Decisions based on regulatory standards and requirements then finalized by Medical Director
  • Identify documentation errors and/or follow up information needed from the recovery agency regarding donor eligibility.  Communicate corrections in a timely manner
  • Transfers the disposition of unacceptable donor tissue to appropriate AlloSource staff in a timely manner.  Communicates deferral information to the recovery agency and other processors as defined in AlloSource procedure
  • Performs and participates in staff training and competency
  • Interpretation of serology test results as defined in AlloSource procedure.  Serology evaluations are completed on a scheduled basis which includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies

 Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience within tissue banking, medical health related field, or medical device industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

 

 Preferred Experience:

  • AATB/CTBS certification
  • 6 months experience evaluating eligibility
