Summary:

Aseptic Processing Program (APP) Technician I will safely and aseptically provide final aseptic donor testing of AlloSource’s tissue products according to applicable SOPs and WIs.  In addition to supporting activities in the controlled work area (CWA) with the assistance of the Quality Assurance Supervisor Aseptic Processing Program (APP).  The APP Technician I will help the QA Supervisor APP maintain the aseptic technique curriculum, aseptic operator qualification results, and operation qualifications.

Pay:   $20.81 - $22.36/hr based on relevant years of experience

Shift:  Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

QA Testing Operations

• Performing quality control (QC) testing using aseptic techniques and testing practices per applicable standards.
• Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current Standard Operating Procedures/work instructions, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
• Interpret applicable product specifications and perform tasks according to established procedures and company expectations.
• Complete accurate testing forms in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Aseptic Processing Program

• Assist with new Operations personnel aseptic technique training.
• Track Operation’s qualification and competency results.
• Assist the Operations management team in identifying training issues.
• Participate and interact in Aseptic Processing Program meetings, reviews, and project teams.

Communication

• Professionally interact and communicate with internal customers and process stakeholders.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend detailed procedures, written and verbal instruction in English. 
• Familiar with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field.
• Experience performing aseptic technique and in medical or laboratory environment. 
• Previous FDA and/or Tissue Banking experience. 
• Previous tissue/cell processing or Central Supply experience.
