This position is responsible for fabrication and welding in our machine shop.  Responsibilities include assisting with sharpening gouges and supporting our manufacturing department in maintaining production equipment.  Operating appropriate equipment to put together mechanical structures or parts with a great deal of precision.   Performing welding and fabrication of a variety of materials and projects working from blueprints. You will also support the development of new equipment and tools.   Assists with building up-keep, preventative maintenance duties and documentation administration, such as filing and data entry. The Associate will troubleshoot and ensure all work is performed to all applicable regulatory guidelines.


Pay:   $16.45 - $21.47/hr based on relevant years of experience

Bonus:  5% target Bonus Program based on individual and company metrics

Shift:  Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Partner with engineers, technicians and operators on the development of new and existing equipment/tooling and provide guidance on best materials and best manufacturing practices.
  • Repair existing equipment utilizing appropriate materials with consideration for manufacturability.
  • Participate in special projects and support Operations activity on an as needed basis.
  • Use critical thinking to make repairs to damaged or compromised equipment
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirement.
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps.
  • Conduct test and inspect welded surfaces to evaluate weld quality, tolerance and structure to discover flaws.
  • Install and repair various pieces of equipment and components.
  • Follow blueprints/drawings to meet product specifications.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair for all building systems in accordance with established procedures, work instructions and company policies.
  • Daily monitoring and upkeep of building cleanliness.
  • Perform routine grounds maintenance.
  • Set up for meetings and company events.
  • Work with Facilities Maintenance and Equipment Mechanic as an apprentice on projects pertaining to facilities maintenance and improvement.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.




  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of experience with various machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders and welders (TIG, MIG and spot)
  • 1-year experience as a welder
  • Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints and shop drawings
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Experience:

  • Welder Certifications
