Pay: $22/hr ($18/hr plus a $4/hr shift differential) for the weekend night shift.  Plus reviews with pay increases 3 times in the first year.

Bonus:  5% target Bonus Program based on individual and company metrics

Shift:  Friday-Sunday; 5:30pm - 6:00am  (full-time position)

The Operations Production Technician, is responsible for safely and aseptically processing human tissue and cell products, and decontaminating, sterilizing reusable equipment and supplies. The OPTs perform responsibilities according to SOPs, WIs, equipment specifications and product specifications.  Depending on the product/process, the OPT may utilize various tools, equipment, machinery, and chemicals.  This position works in a Controlled Work Area (CWA).

 

AlloSource was founded 25 years ago to honor deceased tissue donors by helping surgeons restore patient physical health. Registered donors (and their families) can donate their organs and tissue (ligaments, tendons, bones, cartilage, skin, etc.) for transplant. As one of the largest nonprofit tissue banks, AlloSource is responsible for maximizing this gift of tissue donation to create innovative cellular and tissue products such as cartilage for joints, skin for burns and bone for spinal fusions.  One tissue donor has the potential to impact hundreds of people and it’s AlloSource’s sacred responsibility to make sure that happens.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to aseptic technique and processing practices per applicable standards.
  • Interpret applicable product specifications and perform tasks according to established procedures and company expectations.
  • Complete accurate processing records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current Standard Operating Procedures/work instructions, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • On a rotating schedule this position will work on company observed holidays.
  • Overtime and call-in work will be determined as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year formal work experience 
  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed procedures, written and verbal instruction in English.
  • Ability to conduct basic math calculations to determine dimensions, sizes, quantities, etc.
  • Familiar with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook, as well as navigating computer databases and systems.
