The Supply Chain Manager oversees the Donor Receiving, Inventory Management, Materials Warehouse, Distribution and Sterilization teams. They are responsible for Recruitment, Training, and Performance Management to build a high performing multi-level team. The Supply Chain Manager will lead continuous improvement efforts in addition to owning related Quality Management Systems processes (NC/CAPA/Change Control).


Pay:   $68,828 - $90,345/yr based on relevant years of experience

Bonus:  10% target Bonus Program based on individual and company metrics

Shift:  Monday-Friday; 8:00am – 5:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

General Supply Chain

  • Achieve operational excellence by implementing Best Practices and a structured continuous improvement culture.
  • Ensure the accurate, timely and efficient flow of inventory throughout the entire Supply Chain.
  • Develop and implement daily, weekly, monthly KPI’s for all Supply Chain related functions.
  • Track and manage activities to meet or beat established service levels and inventory accuracy.
  • Work cross functionally to ensure all functions align with production schedules.
  • Continuous process improvement to maintain inventory production flow, accuracy, and timely delivery
  • Communicate cross functionally to ensure resources are available to support all Supply Chain functions.
  • Schedule and supervise activities to maximize productivity and accuracy of processes.
  • Support efforts with other departments to identify needs, prioritize initiatives and develop solutions that improve ability to manage Supply Chain operations.
  • Control costs through productivity of personnel, efficient utilization of storage space and proper protection and control of inventory.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce proper procedures to include document ownership and revision.
  • Assure assigned equipment is always kept in safe operating and good working condition.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • Oversee the investigation and resolution of issues relating to department responsibilities to meet organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance and reporting for responsible areas.


Inventory Management

  • Manage donor and tissue storage, Cycle Counting, Picking Inventory Transfers and Sterilization process.
  • Ensure execution of FEFO or FIFO and expiration management.
  • Ensure proper management and reporting of inventory stored in off-site locations. Assist in efforts to reduce off site storage.
  • Manage timely flow of inventory from receiving through WIP processes.


Inventory Control

  • Implement and manage a cycle count program that promotes a high level of inventory accuracy of donors, raw materials, finished goods and supplies and meets the requirements of the Finance team.
  • Perform root cause analysis and corrective action for inventory discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with Finance on timing and reconciliation of all cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Develop and implement monthly, quarterly, and annual KPI’s for all cycle counting, both by area and in total.
  • Oversee proper use of ERP and other technologies to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Train and manage team on inventory best practices.
  • Oversee count activities in Pending Eligibility, Quarantine, WIP Sterilization and Materials Warehouse locations
  • Maintain and enforce proper storage and handling of inventory.
  • Execute required inventory movements in a timely manner.


Workforce Management

  • Determine and maintain staffing needs by recruiting, interviewing, selecting, and training employees.
  • Develop and maintain a high performing team by providing ongoing training, coaching, timely performance feedback.
  • Provide leadership and direct daily activities for inventory production and inventory management personnel.
  • Assign and schedule staff based on priorities to ensure maximum productivity is achieved.
  • Develop and implement a cross training program to ensure the needs of the business are always met.
  • Coach and assist in the career development of employees.
  • Manage controlled documents to promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operation procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • Promote a culture consistent with the AlloSource Cultural Beliefs



  • Supervise Distribution and shipping personnel.
  • Apply a working understanding of all Distribution responsibilities to lead and assist productivity daily.


Materials Warehouse

  • Supervise Materials Warehouse personnel.
  • Apply a working understanding of all Materials Warehouse responsibilities to lead and assist productivity daily.



  • Assist in development of annual budget.
  • Manage to annual budget and provide explanation on all discrepancies.
  • Forecast and report all risks to budget to Finance.
  • Meet or beat annual budget.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.


May perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned. 




  • Bachelor’s degree
  • In lieu of degree, 9 years’ experience leading Supply Chain projects and/or continuous improvement initiatives, including Inventory Management and Controls 5-7 years’ experience in a regulated environment. Preferably, FDA regulated applicable to the medical device and the tissue banking industry.
  • 5-7 years’ in a regulated environment.  Preferably, FDA regulated applicable to the medical device and the tissue banking industry.
  •  3 years’ experience using an ERP system
  • 3(+) years’ experience supervising, coaching and developing people, preferably in a supply chain organization
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Inventory Management and Controls
  • Experience in development of cost controls and strategies, department policies and procedures, and leading process improvements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications


Preferred Experience:

  • AATB Certified Tissue Bank Specialist
  • Supply Chain experience in a regulated industry
  • Prior experience in the medical device/tissue industry
