    Summary

    The Research Associate is an entry level role that works under direct supervision and executes studies to assist product development/characterization. Frequently uses and applies technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques while contributing to the completion of milestones associated with specific R&D projects. Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of small to moderate scope and complexity. Interacts within the department and with Marketing and Sales, Operations and Regulatory, will also engage in cross functional contact as well as outside vendor contacts on routine matters.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for the execution of research studies and validations.
    2. Perform data analysis and interpretation of study results including basic statistical analysis.
    3. Assist in the execution of interdepartmental projects and activities as necessary.
    4. Act as a project team member and complete assigned tasks for enterprise level projects.
    5. Assist with quality system activities including nonconformances, CAPAs, and change controls (as necessary).
    6. Write and submit poster abstracts, conference posters, and scientific papers.
    7. Responsible for adhering to approved protocols and standard operating procedures.
    8. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, approved protocol, training requirements, safety practices, and company policies.

     

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or similar field
    • 1+ years’ industry or laboratory experience
    • 0 years’ experience with Master’s degree

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • Master’s degree in Biology, or similar field
    • 3+ years’ experience in R&D
    • Experience working within a laboratory
    • Biological product development
