    Summary

    The position is forward thinking and hands on to shape an emerging EPM department within Performance Excellence, increasing our organizational capabilities. This position monitors the day-to-day activities of the Enterprise Project Management (EPM) group to ensure projects meet organizational goals and requirements. Implements and provides guidance related to EPM processes and policies, oversees the work of project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects. With the heart of a teacher, this position will lead, coach and mentor team leaders and members on the enterprise approach to project management. This position may lead and execute enterprise projects.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    1. Responsible for the overall management of corporate projects as determined to be high value to the enterprise through the strategic planning process.
    2. Actively participate in Project Portfolio Management (PPM) activities. Hire and assign Project Managers to projects within the project portfolio. Reallocate resources based on business needs and technical opportunities.
    3. Design, implement, and reinforce repeatable project management methodology.
    4. Conduct impact analysis on each project within the context of the entire organization to understand how a project will affect existing people, processes, infrastructure and technology.
    5. Manage project budgets and oversight of capital and expense spending for projects within the portfolio.
    6. Maintain and update project management framework (toolbox), to ensure it remains relevant, accurate and complete.
    7. Teach and advise project sponsors, managers, and teams to best process and methodologies within a fast-paced environment.
    8. Assess and correct troubled projects.
    9. Develop and report EPM performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
    10. Create and reinforce a culture focused on performance and accountability within project teams.
    11. Act as a role model for the AlloSource cultural beliefs.
    12. Exhibit a passion for innovation and continuous learning.

     

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or related field
    • 5+ years of successful, demonstrated experience in project management and leading cross functional teams
    • 3 years of experience working in a regulated industry (FDA, AATB, etc.)
    • PMP certification required

     

    Preferred Experience:

    • Advanced degree in a scientific discipline and/or business
    • Certified Six Sigma Green belt preferred
    • Lifesciences background
