    The US Marketing Manager (MM) demonstrates a fundamental understanding of the orthopedics market segment and has experience in medical device or tissue marketing. The US Marketing Manager provides leadership and strategic and tactical direction for the Segment portfolio of products in the U.S. In addition, this job function will drive U.S. development and implementation of tactical programs for AlloSource products in partnership with marketing and sales management. The position will act as a champion for key customers, targets, and KOL’s within the United States.


    The MM works with moderate supervision and is primarily responsible for downstream marketing activities, defining tactical strategies including go-to-market, sales and competitive campaign development, and distribution pricing and promotion for a given market segment to achieve corporate revenue goals for a particular market. The nature and range of issues and importance of programs, problem solving, training, competitive analysis and decision making will tend toward a scope that will require individuals with an advanced set of business competencies and overall business skills to give the position credibility with both internal and external customers. The individual has responsibility as a key member of both the sales and marketing teams.


    The US Marketing Manager must enjoy spending time in the market to understand the needs and drivers of both our internal and external customers, translating them into strategies and tactics that will assure the successful growth and profitability of the business.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The following duties are performed under general supervision;

    1. Provide expertise and leadership to both sales and marketing personnel in the effective execution of strategies, launch plans, and marketing campaigns.
    2. Serves as a market expert for a specified segment: including products, procedures, and competitors.
    3. Assist in the definition and execution of marketing plans to maximize the positive financial impact of new products.
    4. Create and maintain strategic and tactical plans to assure containment of competitive products to the segment portfolio of AlloSource.
    5. Influence Marketing management to successfully implement strategies and tactics at the field level, including assisting in developing KOLs both nationally and regionally.
    6. Play a key role in sales force training by use of “train the trainer” programs, working with key sales trainers and internal thought leaders.
    7. Participate in team-based approach to driving the success of the overall segment portfolio, including partnering with sales in calling on identified key accounts to increase use of AlloSource products.
    8. Leads forecasting efforts and works with planning and operations to ensure adequate supply and customer satisfaction.
    9. Conduct and/or analyze market research to determine the continued application and future of existing products in current markets, and to better understand product related competitive issues.
    10. Plans and coordinates local and regional trade shows and society engagements for the identified segment
    11. Provides briefs and oversees development and production of marketing and training materials.
    12. Travel as needed to meet business demands.
    13. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.




    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Career experience within Medical device, biotech, or pharmaceutical industries
    • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Medical Marketing
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook


    Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Life Sciences strongly preferred
    • Advanced Degree: MBA or Masters in Marketing
    • Product Marketing experience
    • Experience in spine, orthopedic, burn/wound care or general surgery technologies
    • Experience working in a clinical/operating room environment
    • Experience working within medical and/or hospital field sales
