Perform calibration preventative maintenance & repair of all measurement and test equipment enrolled in the Asset Management System. The Equipment Specialist also completes validation activities required to meet companywide validation requirements and ensure compliance to regulations. Perform basic maintenance and repair activities as it relates to the building operations. Ensure the timely completion of scheduled work in accordance with established work instruction, standard operating procedure, and company policy. Provide technical support to all departments owning and utilizing measurement and test equipment.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Calibrate, maintain, and repair all process equipment in accordance with established procedures, work instructions and company policies.
  2. Review preventative maintenance and calibration records for validation needs. Perform validation activities to include; protocol execution, data collection, notification of deviations to process owner and writing summary reports.
  3. Monitor equipment schedules & reports and ensure work activities are completed within scheduled timeframe in accordance to Standard Operating Procedures.
  4. Work internal with cross-functional teams & vendors to ensure availability of equipment.
  5. Investigate and close measurement and test equipment related incident reports, product evaluation and corrective action reports.
  6. Carry emergency phone as assigned on a rotating basis.
  7. Complete associated documentation of all calibration, maintenance, and repair activity and ensure information is accurately and compliant with company procedures and processes and concurrently recorded.      
  8. Maintain, and perform basic repair and maintenance of building systems in accordance with established procedures, work instructions and company policies.
  9. Create & Review PM/Cal procedures for adequacy to decrease equipment failures/break-downs and improve streamlining the calibration and/or maintenance process.
  10. Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.



  • High School Diploma
  • 2 years’ experience in a GMP manufacturing facility performing process equipment repair, calibrations, validations and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook


Preferred Experience:

  • BS degree
  • Experience with FDA regulatory guidelines applicable to the medical device and tissue bank industry.
  • Knowledge of cleanroom protocol and or experience in a regulated healthcare or similar type environment.
