Summary

The VP of Strategic Accounts is responsible for setting the direction for the Strategic Accounts function and managing a team of business managers and a project manager with the goal of increasing revenue and customer satisfaction through identification, negotiation and management of AlloSource procurement, supply, processing, development, distribution and private label contract agreements with medical device and related companies.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Set direction and lead team engaging cross-functional leaders to exceed customer needs and business objectives.
  • With the COO identify, negotiate and manage business arrangements with existing and new customers related to procurement, supply, processing, development, distribution and private label agreements.
  • Lead and oversee management of existing business arrangements including conducting Business Reviews, tracking performance and ensuring contractual obligations are met.
  • Generate funnel of medical device customer prospects and champion new business opportunities including development of business cases, assessment of resources, prioritization and management of budget and timelines.
  • Contribute to development of revenue budgets and forecasts and achieve all annual business objectives.
  • Adhere to and promote proper practices and techniques which are consistent with current operating procedures, training requirements, safety practices and company policies.
  • Lead, Develop, Hire and Manage Strategic Accounts Team.
  • 30%+ travel required 

Requirements:

  • BS or BA, preferably in business or biology
  • 10 years’ experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development including experience negotiating, contracting and managing customer accounts
  • 5 years’ experience leading an account management or sales team
  • 5 years’ experience in medical device or pharmaceutical industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook

Preferred Experience:

  • MS or MBA
